Burren House, Dublin

The Clients for this house on a corner site in Dublin wanted to make a modern statement in a historic area. The Architect responded with this bold statement which involved a basement over a ground floor which covered nearly the entire site and with a complete glass box at first floor level supported by minimal structure. The house is clad with granite up to first floor level even across windows with light filtering in through slots and rooflights.

The house was completed in late 2009.
