Sean O’Casey Community Centre


This new Community Centre on the site of the existing centre in East Wall was designed to be a landmark five storey building within the low level surrounding of East Wall. It is predominantly exposed fairfaced reinforced concrete incorporated numerous circular openings which present challenges to design and construct. All ceiling soffits throughout are also reinforced concrete.The project was completed during in 2008. It won Irish Concrete Society Award for ‘Best Building’ in 2009 among other numerous awards from the RIAI and RIBA.
